In general, there have been 205 new positives, all being 15- to 29-year-olds who had been in Spain or Portugal.

The Finnish health authorities, on the other hand, trace the increase in cases to travel following the matches of the European football championship that took place in Russia: 481 confirmed cases of people on board the return flights, and 165 secondary cases. All fan samples sequenced so far belong to the Delta variant of the virus.

Malta has had an increase in COVID cases with 130 Italians blocked from leaving the island as 21 of them tested positive. Language schools on Malta are to close on July 14, 2021.

COVID-19 has also entered the Rome office of the Rai-TV center in Italy. Five Rai employees of Saxi Rubra are infected with the coronavirus, while 9 would-be workers are in precautionary isolation for having had direct contact with employees that tested positive.
